Harris® Alsolder 500 Aluminum Solder Kit with solder wire and flux. Ideal for soldering aluminum to aluminum and other metals, electronics, electrical connections, and repairing zinc die case alloys.Features
- Aluminum solder alloy for torch or iron
- Good color match on aluminum and zinc die cast
- Forms excellent corrosion-resistant joints on tough-to-solder aluminum alloys
- Not recommended for magnesium
- Up to 20,000 psi tensile strength
- 50% elongation in 2 in. (mechanical properties of bulk solder)
- Used to repair aluminum evaporators and soldering aluminum-to-copper tubing
- Conforms to the EU Reach and RoHS directive
- The kit includes 1 oz. (28 g) solder wire and 1.75 oz. (49.6 g) Stay-Clean® aluminum soldering flux
Applications
- Lead-free tin-zinc solder forms excellent corrosion resistant joints on the tough-to-solder aluminum alloys
- Joins all solderable aluminum alloys to each other and to dissimilar metals, both ferrous and non-ferrous
- Beneficial as a high temperature solder on most other metals
