Item Details
Harris® Safety-Silv® 50 high silver brazing alloy filler metal 3/32" round x 36" long rod in a 50 troy oz. tube is a high silver, cadmium-free, brazing alloy filler metal for joining copper, steel, and brass alloys. It has a melting point of approximately 175°F (70°C) suitable for bridging gaps and fill on connections where a wider clearance and poor fit-ups are encountered. Safety-Silv® 50 is sometimes used for torch brazing applications where a higher braze joint electrical conductivity is desired. The reduced zinc content improves brazed joint ductility. Conforms to the EU Reach and RoHS directive.Features
- Cadmium-free 50% silver brazing alloy
- Melting range promotes better fill on connections where a wider clearance may exist
- Reduced zinc content improves brazed joint ductility
- Suitable for joining copper, steel and brass alloys
- Used for torch brazing applications where a higher braze joint electrical conductivity is desired
- Stay-Silv® white flux is suitable for some applications
- Stay-Silv® black flux is used for brazing stainless steel or tungsten carbide and where heating cycles are prolonged or heat is focused, as in induction furnace brazing
- Harris® Eco Smart® boric acid free flux, powder or paste, is an excellent choice to promote sound brazed assemblies
- Conforms to the EU Reach and RoHS directive
Applications
- Joining copper, steel and brass alloys.
