Item Details

voestalpine Böhler Welding 308L/MVR-2D Stainless Steel Stick Electrode measuring 5/32" X 18" is ideally designed for welding ASTM 304 and 304L stainless steels to provide high productivity welding in flat and horizontal positions. Cr-Ni high recovery 2D electrode with 440 N/sq.mm yield strength offering a high deposition rate and an improved productivity in horizontal butt and overlay welding renders about 150% of metal recovery. This stainless steel electrode with 570 N/sq.mm tensile strength is welder-friendly and can be used in all-round welding operations. Welder-friendly electrode is magnificent in severe conditions such as in oxidizing acids and cold/dilute reducing acids. It can also be used for AC/DC current welding applications. It comes in a 9 lb tube.

Features

  • High productivity welding in flat and horizontal positions
  • Welder friendly, all round electrode

Applications

  • For welding austenitic stainless steel of the ASTM 304 and 304L type and offers maximum resistance to intergranular corrosion
  • It can also be used with good results for welding titanium and niobium stabilized steels, such as ASTM 321 and 347, in cases where the welded component will be operating at temperatures not exceeding 752 deg F (400 deg C)
