Item Details
Harris® 1/8" Dia X 14" SuperMissleweld® Steel Alloy Maintenance Electrode comes in a 10 lb box and features great impact and heat resistance. It is especially advantageous when the alloy content of the steel to be welded is known. This unique electrode is so versatile that its applications are virtually too multiple in number to specify. It has a tensile strength up to 120,000 psi and will not respond to heat treatment. Electrode also has yield strength up to 85,000 psi and features great frictional resistance. Electrode has 200 - 300 HB Brinell hardness, 30% reduction of area and 93 - 102 HRB Rockwell B hardness. For high carbon steels, a preheat of 400 deg F is recommended and it will not respond to heat treatment. Electrode is a very good maintenance and repair stand-by in every industry throughout the world. It ensures dense, non-cracking welds on problem steels such as high carbon steels, tool steels, stainless steels, spring steels, manganese steels and dissimilar steels. It is designed to use either AC or DC reverse polarity.Features
