Hobart® Hardalloy® 148 1/8" Dia X 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb hermetically sealed container provides magnificent resistance to metal-to-metal frictional wear. Electrode renders high carbon-chromium austenitic deposit with carbide alloy steel which is well suitable to overlay surfaces subjected to light abrasion accompanied by impact. Deposits of electrode maintains hardness even at high temperature up to 1200 deg F and deposit displays shiny surface like stainless steel. It offers quiet stable arc with fast transfer that enhances performance. It features less penetration with good wetting characteristics and magnificent edge building capability for good operation. Electrode renders sound and covered deposits that are easily removable. It uses DCEP or AC power for the operation with optimum amperage of 120 A. It finds applications in gyratory crusher mantles and cones, ingot tongs, mill guides, pulleys and slurry mixer paddles.
