Item Details

Hobart® Hardalloy® 32 1/8" Dia X 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a hermetically sealed container of 10 lb renders good resistance to cracking even in multiple-pass deposits. High strength electrode provides magnificent base for harder or more abrasion-resistant overlay alloys. It has deposition of heat-treatable steel alloy which is used to build-up of carbon and low alloy steels. Electrode with machinable range deposit hardness is ideal for overlay of shafts, gears and other components that requires machining. Electrode has coating that renders smooth, stable arc with low spatter loss. It uses DCEP or AC power for the operations with a amperage of 110 - 165 A. It can be used as out-of-position by reducing amperage and builds up a series of horizontal beads on shelf using weave technique. It finds applications in coupling boxes, dredge ladder rolls, kiln trunnions, mill guides, gear teeth, steel shafts, bucket teeth and lips, crane wheels, dragline buckets and chain, mine car wheels, wobbler ends, tractor idlers and rollers, grizzly bars and fingers.
