Hobart® 18AC Hermetically Sealed Container Carbon Steel Low Hydrogen Electrode is specially designed for skip or tack welds along with low, medium, high-carbon steels as well as high strength low-alloy steel welding to provide smooth, stable arc with good weld bead appearance by featuring flat bead contour along with strike and restrike capability. 3/16" Electrode is ideal for single and multiple pass, all position AC, DCEN, DCEP and works well on DC utility-type welders that eliminates frustration caused by electrode sticking. Reliable electrode produces starts, restarts along with good wetting action to prevent undercutting and has no porosity lets you better welds by reducing clean up time. Electrode comes with self-removing slag design that makes cleaning easier and is employed in shops, farms, hobbyist by keeping minimum spatter. Easily governable electrode has a tensile strength of 81200 psi, yield strength of 73100 psi and allows more arc time. Electrode is sold as a 50 lb hermetically sealed container.Features
