Hobart® 24 Mild Steel Electrode is a high speed electrode that increases travel speed by featuring high deposition rate and is rapid while using in down hand properly designed weld joints or in horizontal fillet welds requires equal leg fillets. 1/4" Electrode is ideal for single and multiple pass, DCEN, AC power with a drag welding technique and employs in plate fabrication, railroad cars, structures and shipbuilding. Electrode comes with self-removing slag design that makes removal, cleaning easier and meets AWS E7024-1 specifications along with tensile strength of 82000 psi and yield strength of 72000 psi. Electrode can be used wherever an E7024 or E7024-1 is called for and is perfect for earthmoving equipment and mining machinery. Electrode is sold as a 50 lb carton.
