Item Details

ESAB® Sureweld® 10P Carbon Steel Electrode comes in hermetically sealed container of 50 lb and is designed for pipe welding industry that improves ductility in the weld deposit by standard welding characteristics which is needed for a pipe welding electrode. 1/8" Electrode is used to produce X-ray quality joints by using the procedures like flat, horizontal, overhead, vertical-up as well as down and produces steady, deep penetration that requires to maintain a proper keyhole in open root pipe joints. C.W.B-CSA W48 Certified electrode is specially designed for welding root passes in high grade API pipes like A25, A, B and X42 in some circumstances and meets the specifications of A.B.S.-AWS A5.1 E6010, AWS A5.1, Class E6010 ABS - AWS A5.1 CWB-CSA 48.1, E41010 and ASME SFA 5.1. Electrode requires thorough clean between passes and is employed in ship, barge, general structural and storage tank fabrication. Electrode commended a slight oscillating motion in horizontal as well as flat positions and comes with short arc that do not permit the coating to touch the molten pool and same amperages is needed to maintain between vertical down as well as flat position welds.

Features

  • This electrode will produce X-ray quality joints in flat, horizontal, overhead, vertical-up, and vertical-down procedures
  • Produces a steady, deep penetrating arc and maintains the proper keyhole in an open root

Applications

  • Civil construction
  • General fabrication
  • Pipeline
  • Ship
  • Storage tank

Specifications

  • "
  • AWS Classification» E6010
  • Diameter» 1/8""
  • Weight» 50 lb
  • Trade Name» Sureweld®
  • Electrode Length» 14""
  • Package» Hermetically Sealed Can"

Caution

  • Hold a short arc, but do not allow the coating to touch the molten pool
  • A slight oscillating motion is recommended in the horizontal and flat positions
  • Use a short whipping motion on vertical and overhead welds, allowing only enough time out of the crater for the metal to set up
  • Clean thoroughly between passes
  • Vertical down and flat position welds should be made at approximately the same amperages
