Item Details

Esab® Sureweld® 10P-Plus Carbon Steel Electrode comes in a hermetically sealed container of 50 lb and is a cellulosic electrode that provides uniform burn off and forgiving arc burn and is differentiated only by gray coating. 3/16" Electrode is used to produce X-ray quality joints by using the procedures like flat, horizontal, overhead, vertical-up and down. C.W.B-CSA W48 Certified electrode is specially designed for pipe welding industry and keeps minimum spatter by featuring better bead profile and sidewall fusion. Electrode requires thorough cleaning between passes and meets the specification of AWS A5.1, Class E6010 ABS - AWS A5.1 CWB-CSA 48.1, E41010, A.B.S.-AWS A5.1, E6010 and ASME SFA 5.1. Electrode uses short whipping motion on vertical and overhead welds to set up metal that allows sufficient time out of the crater and same amperages should maintain between vertical down and flat position welds.

Features

  • This provides a better bead profile and sidewall fusion with lower spatter
  • It will maintain the proper keyhole in an open root and will produce X-ray quality joints in the flat, horizontal, overhead, vertical-up, and vertical-down procedures

Applications

  • Civil construction
  • General fabrication
  • Pipeline
  • Ship
  • Storage tank

Specifications

  • "
  • AWS Classification» E6010
  • Diameter» 3/16""

Caution

  • Hold a short arc, but do not allow the coating to touch the molten pool
  • A slight oscillating motion is recommended in the horizontal and flat positions
  • Use a short whipping motion on vertical and overhead welds, allowing only enough time out of the crater for the metal to set up
  • Clean thoroughly between passes
  • Vertical down and flat position welds should be made at approximately the same amperages
