HarrisĀ® 6290-VVC Size 0 is a two-piece, propane/natural gas, chrome-plated machine cutting tip. It cuts up to 3/4 in. thick plate at a cutting speed of 15 in. per minute (I.P.M.) and requires 90 PSIG of cutting oxygen, 10 - 35 PSIG low-high oxygen preheat and 4 oz. - 2 PSIG of preheat fuel. This tip has a 125 SCFH cutting oxygen flow rate, 25 - 35 SCFH low preheat oxygen flow rate, 7 SCFH propane flow rate or 18 SCFH natural gas flow rate for cutting metals. The approximate kerf is .08 in. Best when used with Harris machine cutting torch model 98-6F.

  • Use next size larger tip with same PSIG for contour or intricate cutting
  • For thin plate cutting, use a highly carburizing preheat flame
  • Cutting oxygen pressures should be measured at torch entry
  • When using two hose machine torches, set oxygen pressure at cutting oxygen PSIG listed
