Lincoln Electric� Lincolnweld� 980� Submerged Arc Flux is ideal for semiautomatic submerged arc welding throughout the shop. It offers exceptional resistance to flash-through and porosity caused by arc blow in a variety of applications. It is ideal for semiautomatic, single and multiple pass submerged arc welding, general purpose fabrication and fillet welds.

Features

• High operator appeal due to exceptional resistance to flash-through and porosity caused by arc blow
• Neutral type flux so alloy buildup is limited in multiple pass welds at high voltages even on plate one inch thick
• Agglomerated for consistent flux particle composition and consistent weld deposit chemistry
• Typically, agglomerated fluxes will have up to 30% lower flux consumption than their fused flux counterparts
• Combines many of the features of the 700 and 800 series fluxes and is ideal for semiautomatic submerged arc welding
• Exceptional resistance to flash-through and porosity caused by arc blow in a variety of applications
• Especially high productivity when used with Lincolnweld® LC-72 wire
